Automatic, 2. Water resistant, 3. Shock resistant, 4. Date, 5. Day. Please note that some SEIKO 5's are in fact SEIKO 4's, if the "Day" function is omitted, then the Caliber 7S25 is used. The only difference to the normally found 7S26 is the omission of the day wheel. Also re-issues of SEIKO 5 Sports often use the 7S36 caliber. Again the 7S36 is similar to the most popular 7S26, yet it features 23 Jewels as opposed to the 21 Jewels in the 7S26. Please note that all these movements beat at a rate of 21'600 bph (beats per hour) or 6 bps (beats per second). As a comparison, an ETA 2824-2 beats at 28'800 bph or 8 bps. A Miyota 82xx beats at 21'600 bph. Why do I mention these three movements? Because they are found in probably 80% of all inexpensive automatic wrist watches. Loved it at first. Looked like it was well built. The band was too long, but I removed a link and it fit perfect. The book said it would need to be rewound it not worn for 8 hours or more, but it kept the time for 12-14 hours every night lying on my dresser. I should have seen this as a clue, because it started running fast...real fast. It would speed up 20-30 minutes an hour. By lunchtime, it said it was time to go home. I could see the adjustment was set dead in the middle, but when I moved it down to slow, no help. I'm disappointed in Seiko. I know it was only $70 bucks or so, but come on.

This watch is very nice and cheap ... very good quality. automatic mechanism works very accurately. It also has the guarantee that gives Seiko.

My purchase of the Seiko watch satisfied my desire for a new, handsome and reliable product.
It turned out better than pictured in the diagram. I felt the price was right. I only needed to have a jeweler make adjustments to the wrist band.

Company sent the watch quickly and well packed.
However, the watch kept poor time and then stopped within two weeks of use.

Warning!!! Don't ever buy watches from this person! 1. They don't work properly. 2. He doesn't send the money back. Be careful!
