bought this watch for use in the way-outback-outdoors. just needed a rugged, easy to read
(for the near-vision challenged, even in the dark), simple watch that was comfortable. works great on all accounts. no fancy functions, bells or whistles (also technology challenged), just the perfect basic outdoor person's watch.

Caveat Emptor! I purchased this watch thru Amazon from WatchZone.com. I discovered just 4 weeks after purchase one of the pins that attaches the band to the watch body had fallen apart. I contacted WatchZone (the vendor) about getting a replacement pin to attach the band to the watch body. They emailed me back with a phone number for a factory authorized service center. I called the service center and found out that because I purchased the watch thru Amazon, the warranty is void and I must pay to get it repaired! I attempted to contact Luminox only to find out their website does not work--almost like they have disappeared off the web. I will not be purchasing anymore watches thru Amazon to say the least. I certainly will not be purchasing another Luminox. I simply wanted a rugged watch for work. Next time, I will save 80 dollars and buy a Timex. I am sure Timex honors their warranties.
