In 1911, Bulova began manufacturing boudoir and desk clocks, along with fine pocket watches, which he made and sold in unprecedented numbers. During World War I, wristwatches were issued in the military for their greater convenience. Returning veterans brought them home, and a new fashion was created. In the 1950s, Bulova developed the Accutron, the first electronic watch, which was accurate to keeping time to within two seconds a day. During the 1960s, NASA asked the company to bring its timing expertise to computers for the Space Program. A Bulova timer was placed on the moon's Sea of Tranquility to control the transmissions of vital data through the years. | | | Features: | |

Very classic and clean look. The numbers are large and easy to read. I bought this watch for my father who was turning 59. He enjoys wearing watches to match his look and jewelry. He wears a nice 10mm yellow gold ring and this watch matches up well. The movement is nice to see through the front and the back case. The band is leather nothing to write home about. Than band seems a little thin and probably will need replacement within a year or two. For the price you can't go wrong. Delivery was fast and the tracking was good. It is not a high luxury watch but it wears and looks darn good. After attending a dinner party with family and friends, people were commenting on his watch and asking to see it. I was wearing a watch 10x more expensive yet the Bulova was getting all the attention? Goes to show you that certain watches just look good no matter how fancy or expensive they are. Don't get me wrong when looking at it up close you won't see the quality and details of a Mont Blanc or Panerai. It has a mineral crystal, no lum, and a low end movement but it is well put together in a simple yet elegant manner.
